Clean
up volunteers
Arrive at 6:00AM on Sunday. The guests should put the
bedding, towels and everything in the hallway. Luggage and belongings
are to be placed at the bottom of the stairs for preparation of loading
the truck. Sort all bedding into laundry sacks so when they are returned
clean they are sorted and can easily be put back into the linen cabinet.
Clean all rooms, empty trash, vacuuming all rooms and hallway. Wipe
down all beds with bleach and prepare for loading. Split the laundry
evenly between the services by putting a few bags in the foyer between
each service. Vacuuming should be done before the start of the 7:45
service.

GUIDELINES FOR ALL HOSTS:
• Enjoy yourself; we are entertaining guests in our church home.
• Please wear a name tag to make it easier for the guests to identify
you.
• Strictly avoid labeling the guests with terms such as “homeless”
or any other grouping that could be hurtful. Focus on conversations
that pertain to current events, not personal history or current position.
• Be aware of and avoid potential hurtful reminders to the guests
of the things that they do not have.
• The schedule is not intended to be rigid – be flexible
and sensitive to special needs and opportunities.
• If physical violence is threatened, call 911, immediately, without
hesitation.
• If you observe child abuse, you must call 911.
• Do not give money to guests.
• Always follow the Uniform Health Code guidelines.
• Notify the Volunteer Coordinator of any problems or concerns.
• Guests are allowed access to:
• The kitchen
• The washer and dryer
• The Sanctuary
• Royster Hall
• The Library
• The basement sleeping quarters
• The gym
