Thank you for volunteering to help with Interfaith Hospitality Network!
Children's Activities Host Responsibilities:
1. Arrive about 7:00 PM. (or 6 pm for dinner)
2. Meet the guests and children.
3. With the help of parents, supervise children’s activities.
Parents are responsible for supervision of their children but the idea
is to take some of the load off of the parents. This ministry is greatly
appreciated by the parents!
4. Do not distribute medicine to the children; let the parent give the
medicine.
5. Books and games are stored in the IHN cabinet. The kids especially
enjoy using the scooters, skateboards and bikes down in the gym.
6. Help guests fill out their breakfast requests for the following day.
7. Clean up after the activities. Encourage kids to help clean up and
put things away.
8. Movies can be made available on the VCR on specified nights. General,
PG, and known PG-13 movies can be brought in for the families.
9. On weeknights, complete cleanup before 9:00 PM for all children’s
activities, by about 10:00 PM for adults.
10. Be available to talk with guests, and to resolve questions or problems.
11. Coordinate with overnight hosts to depart about 9:00 PM.
