Since the time of Einstein scientists have discovered an entirely new way of understanding the Universe, Earth, and Life. In parallel, theologians and spiritual leaders are sharing new visions of God in an emerging universe. This day of retreat:

• Will engage us in this new creation story
• Help us re-awaken to Earth as partner rather than servant to us
• Identify where we are in our journeys as human beings
• Gather us into spiritual and prayer experiences that unfold us with/in God.

Some of the activities we will share include:

• Power point presentations and discussion
• The Cosmic Walk Ritual
• Storytelling
• Creating a Natural Autobiography
• Joint reflection on how to make the new creation story more active in our personal lives and in our communities.

The Rev. Dr. Barbara A. Dumke serves as Vicar of Church of the Good Shepherd in Colorado Springs. She has served in four dioceses, received her doctorate in creation theology, holds three Master’s degrees and a certificate in spiritual direction. She has written several articles and chapters in books and is preparing her dissertation, Coming Home - to Earth, for publication. She has led retreat and workshops for churches and Diocesan conventions and taught classes in seminaries and universities.
